Amazing Art

One of the million reasons I love Greensboro is the Weatherspoon Art Museum on the campus of UNCG.  It's lovely, free, and filled with a fantastic permanant collection.  And when I took the kids last week to peek around, I found out exactly how I should spend that spare hundred grand I've got in a shoebox under my bed.

The work of Rackstraw Downes-- I could spend hours staring at each and every one.

The computer screen doesn't do it justice-- in real life, these were breathtaking.  If you live in Greensboro, go!

We haven't been in quite a while. We'll have to make a plan to visit.
